I had hoped to have the moving, talking, dollhouse-set “Interview of Colin” video available when people checked on the winner of the drawing. We’ll still draw the winner of the “Colin” ring on April 1st, but the vid ran into some snags.

Snag One: Our video camera, which we hadn’t used in forever but remembered as being fine, had something wrong with the on/off/record switch. It ceased to work entirely shortly after we began filming, forcing us to use the video function on our Canon digital Elf. Sadness.

Snag Two: We couldn’t get the exterior mike to work with the Elf, so the sound was recorded separately, which means we’ll have two files to sync for every scene, thus doubling our work.

Snag Three: The digital files from the Elf take forever to load. Maybe the regular video files would have been the same. Anyway, we didn’t see that one coming.

So this fine piece of video production is delayed. Probably by a week and a half to two weeks, is my guess. But I will have a new contest up, and soon. Stay tuned.
